Aikido, Jodo and Open Combat
In addition to the practice for adults there are practices for children and teenagers.
Beginners are always welcome. A trial practice is free and always possible. Guests are welcome!
Aikido
Aikido is a relatively new martial art that was developed in the 1930s and - 40s by the Japanese Morihei Ueshiba. Its base are the budo arts as used by the Japanese samurai. In addition to working with bare hands we also practice with certain weapons. The principle of Aikido is to unite the opponents energy with one’s own and use it.
Jodo
Jodo Shinto Musô Ryû is a separate martial art which consists of 60 katas. We defend ourselves with the jo (wooden stick). Practice is on Mondays and Thursdays, 16:45 - 18:15. In summer we have an additional practice in the Kannenfeldpark 19:00 -20:30.
Open Combat
In the Open Combat lesson techniques and principles from various martial arts are employed. Every Thursday, 17:45 - 18:30 with Christian Handl
